Beyond Birth (Ongoing Support)
Wrap-around Services
Turuki Health Care offer a range of services to support health, wellbeing, and whānau life after birth. These services reflect a shared commitment to caring for māmā, pēpi, and whānau through every stage of the journey.
Affordable, community-based care is available through local clinics in Māngere and Panmure. Whānau can see a GP or nurse for routine checks, maternity care, and immunisations for pēpi.
A safe home, access to kai, and stability are important foundations for wellbeing. Programmes such as AWHI Healthy Homes, Community Response, and Sustaining Tenancies work alongside whānau to strengthen these areas helping to create warm homes and practical support networks.
Whānau-focused programmes nurture confidence and connection during pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. Services such as B4Baby, Hapū Wānanga, Poipoia te Mokopuna and Triple P Parenting provide guidance in breastfeeding, antenatal learning, early childhood education, and parenting support.
Becoming a parent can bring new challenges for the body, mind, and spirit. Culturally grounded support is available through counselling, rongoā Māori, and smoking cessation programmes - creating safe spaces for rest, reflection, and healing as you adjust to life with your new pēpi.
Together, these services uphold the wellbeing of whānau across South Auckland.
